Surface Conditioning Flap Discs are made of an open nylon-web, impregnated with abrasive grains. They offer a continuous and controlled finish with minimal material removal. The material offers a unique combination of benefits because of its material type. It consists of a long life, high flexibility range, and a consistent finish while still having an aggressive performance. While aggressive, this product will not give accidental gouges in your workpiece.
These discs condition, clean, and finish workpiece surfaces without undercutting the base material. They produce a brushed or lightly grained finish, especially suitable for stainless steel applications. In addition, they have layered flaps which last five times longer than traditional flat Hook & Loop Discs.
Typical applications include gasket removal, coatings removal, cleaning weld splatter, and removing heat discoloration. They leave surfaces with a uniform satin finish.
